Kari started with Special Olympics Texas with the Grand Prairie ISD program in 1998. During that time she has participated in aquatics and basketball. Her family moved to Mansfield in 2000 and was involved with the Mansfield ISD team. She has also competed in bocce, track and equestrian. When she is not competing she volunteers at the Mansfield Library.
